Rama Kavaliauskas, President
As
President of Sterling Engineering, Rama Kavaliauskas provides
leadership and strategic direction to help drive the company’s
achievement of its philosophy, mission, goals and objectives. She works
closely with the Sterling management team to ensure they have the information
and resources to deliver exceptional service and maintain the most effective
and cost-efficient operational model. Rama joined Sterling in 1998 as
a Business Development Manager and was the top revenue generator for
multiple years. She was promoted to Vice President in 2005. During her
tenure with Sterling, Rama drove the development of the Direct Hire service
offering and expanded the company’s technician level business to
our clients. Rama holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
from Cleveland State University.
Paul Russo, Vice President
A seasoned industry professional with more than 15 years of experience,
Paul Russo has served as Vice President and Manager of Recruiting since
2007. In this role, he leads Sterling’s Contract recruiting teams
and is responsible for all internet, offshore and sourcing initiatives
for the company. Paul joined Sterling in 1993 as a CAD drafter. He
moved into a technical recruiter position in 1998 and in 2005 was promoted
to Recruiting Manager responsible for directing and managing day-to-day
recruitment operations. Paul received a Bachelor’s degree from
Marquette University.
Greg Simutis, Vice President
Greg Simutis joined Sterling Engineering as a technical recruiter in
1986. Since then he has grown his career working on various
assignments during his 21 years of service as a result of which he
now wears multiple hats. In his role as Vice President,
he currently has responsibility for managing Sterling’s largest
client both from a sales and recruiting perspective. Greg manages Sterling’s
dedicated Direct Hire Recruiting Team. In addition he is also
responsible for managing the HR Department and implementing corporate
HR policies, procedures and programs that support employee satisfaction
and career development. Greg is a graduate of Villanova University.
Tim Silkaitis, Vice President of Finance,
MBA
Tim Silkaitis joined Sterling Engineering in 1992 as an Accounting
Clerk. In 1997, he was promoted to an Accounting Manager and then
in 2006 to a Controller. Currently, Tim holds the title of
Vice-President of Finance and is responsible for managing the company’s
financial matters -- including Worker's Compensation, 401K, Payroll services,
Billing and Receivables and Health Insurance -- and all activities of the
Accounting Team. He is responsible for legal and contract administration
and has IT department oversight. Tim received a Bachelor of Science degree
from Elmhurst College and an MBA with Managerial Accounting emphasis from
DePaul University.
Steve Waszkowiak, BSME, PE - Engineering Manager
Steve
Waszkowiak is Sterling’s Engineering Manager and a State
of Illinois-licensed Professional Engineer with two decades of experience.
Steve oversees Sterling’s Engineering team, supports projects throughout
their delivery cycles, and leads the company’s efforts to continuously
strengthen our engineering service offerings. Steve holds a Bachelor
of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
He is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers and
Technology Management Association of Chicago.
